CCR #4

Hi bloggg, I'll be answering this question: How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware and online in this project- in this project?

For this project we started off using a camera to film, but because my friend was filming our musical that we performed this week we were able to use a high quality camera. We ended up re-filming all the scenes we used our phones with but it looked better. We started using clipchamp but we got very frustrated with it because of how laggy it could be. So we moved on to Imovie on Andre's ipad. We also used mostly sound we found online for our technological sounds- like the T.V, blender, and google home.

CCR #2

Hii blog, Ill be answering CCR number 2 which asks: How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

My product mostly targets women from age ranges 16-35. This is because thrillers with women leads that have some kind of psychological background tend to attract female audiences as they don't include too much violence. Emotional and intelligent plots also tend to attract more women than men. Our plot deals with the emotions of a teen and her skills on being able to figure out how to escape her situation. Older teens would like it because it centers on a teenager who is going through typical adolescent issues but also to older young adults because of the mature genre. We tried to make our main character as relatable as possible. She lives in a middle class neighborhood and wears typical trending clothing but is still unsure of where she fits in her social circles. When people watch it they will be able to see a little bit of them in our character.

But, where will people watch it? Well there is the distribution company called FilmHub that allows you to upload your film for free and distributes to other platforms like Apple TV, Tubi, and Amazon prime with a 20% commission. Using this company along with a marketing campaign which includes platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube. These apps would especially work because of the younger audience.

CCR #3

Hi guyss, in this post I’ll be answering this CCR question: how did my production skills develop throughout the project?

Before this class I had some experience in “production” whether that was theater or filming. I was a director of Frozen jr last year and this year I’m directing Mean Girls. These have both helped me find my voice when it comes to blocking, visualizing, and writing. I also was in a filming class along with Media, so I was actually doing hands on stuff in that class while learning about technique in this class. But this project required all the skills I had developed from those experiences to make it. I had already felt confident in my editing skills but was still iffy with my filming. Shots, angles, movement. But because I had so much time to plan just these two minutes of filming I got to really think about how I wanted to film it. As I went along I started learning how to be more intentional with what kind of shots I was going to incorporate. Unlike with my other class I just did whatever shots I thought looked cool, but with the project I actually had purpose behind every decision.

I also improved my collaboration skills. Working with my partner Andre proved to be difficult sometimes as we had creative differences. But I really appreciate the ability to collaborate with her that this project gave me. I usually feel like I take a lot of control in group projects and so does Andre, so partnering up with her I already knew we were going to disagree. But anytime we did, we just decided that we could try both ideas or we would just explain why the other didn't sound reasonable.

Editing Process

I'm going back to my childhood roots and using IMovie to edit our opening. Right now we are mostly done with our editing. We put all the shots that we licked and clipped them together in chronological order. All that's left to do is cut it down so its not past 2 minutes, add credit tittles, and put our foley sound.

AND CUT! (production post #3)

We finished filming all of our Scenes, Yay!

For this filming session we had a nice camera to use so we also reshot some of the scenes we didn't like. We also did plenty of the same actions from different angles to make sure we had enough.
One of our scenes we filmed outside and Andre literally forgot the code to her house so we were stuck outside until her parents answered their phone. Anything for the media!

AND DONE!

Hi, Its Trisha again! Here are my two CCR's and my opening! CCR #1 (questions 1-2) https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wM2PyWkPQp9s...
